Disney villains nearly always suffer the same demise

Disney villains have many things in common - a diabolical nature, a love of scheming, an evil laugh, loyal minions - and, often, how they meet their demise.

Apart from a couple of exceptions, you'll never see a Disney baddie get beheaded or be impaled. The House of Mouse has strict rules about that sort of thing.

But you may have noticed a large number of villains come to a grisly end by plummeting to their deaths. And there are two theories as to why Disney loves letting its antagonists take a deadly fall. By meeting an end this way, a younger audience aren't subjected to distressing levels of gore. The death has occurred out of shot, so no one actually sees the gruesome moment of impact.
