Recently NASA advertised a job vacancy for a Planetary Protection Officer.

While receiving applications from the worlds top scientists, they weren't expecting an application from a 9 year old boy wanting to be a Guardian Of The Galaxy.

Jack, who is in grade four at primary school, wrote: “I may be nine but I would be fit for the job.

“One of the reasons is my sister says I’m an alien. Also I have seen almost all of the space and alien movies I can see.

“I have also seen the show Marvel Agents of Shield and hope to see the movie Men In Black.

“I am great at video games. I am young, so I can learn to think like an alien.”

But it wasn’t just the letter that NASA sent, he also received a phone call from the agency’s planetary research director Jonathan Rall, where he congratulated Jack on his interest in space.
