SA Power Networks will be conducting inspections of their powerlines over the next four weeks.
Residents in the Port Lincoln, Cleve and Cummins areas might notice helicopters flying low while the aerial patrols are underway.
The inspections are part of SAPN’s annual maintenance program to inspect powerlines and other assets in bushfire risk areas.

The aerial inspections also allow the crews to reach spots that are harder to get to, and cover more distance with less time.
Some of the risks looked for include birds’ nests, low-hanging lines and overgrown trees.
