Embattled Rex Airlines has been thrown a lifeline after being forced to operate under voluntary administration for more than a year.
A new buyer has been locked in – and if the deal goes ahead Rex will be American owned.
Air-T has been named as the buyer – for an undisclosed amount at this point.

The deal will mean Air-T will take up Rex’s fleet of 57 planes, and a flying school.
Locally, Rex operates multiple flights out of Port Lincoln and Ceduna on a daily basis.
