Nixon is one of 20 riders aged from across Australia chosen for the event, and one of only two from South Australia.

His mother Jasmin Breed said the whole family was thrilled when the call from Yamaha Australia came in.

“We’re very proud of all he’s achieved so far, and we just can’t wait to see him ride on such a big platform,” she said.

“It was a bit of a long process, but it’ll be worth it to see him have this experience.”

As for Nixon, he’s most looking forward to meeting all the riders and getting out on a track in front of 50,000 people.
