A new petition is circulating around the Lower Eyre Peninsula, calling for improvements to the Lincoln Highway Haigh Drive intersection in Tiatukia.
Concerns have been raised about the current 110km/h speed limit, where vehicles wanting to turn need to come to a complete stop, potentially creating hazards on the key route.
The petition, launched by local Debbie Flint, is requesting a formal safety assessment and safety measures, as well as a dedicated turning lane and left hand slip lane to be installed.
As of Thursday evening, the petition had already amassed 600 signatures.
The petition can be found here, while paper copies are available at Foodland, Lincoln Computer Centre, North Shields Roadhouse, Wheatsheaf Hotel and Headquarters Hairdressers.
