Two former St Joseph’s School students are making their mark, earning finalist nods in the 2026 7NEWS SA Young Achiever Awards.
The awards recognise young South Australians making a difference across fields from law to the arts — and both nominees are already leaving a strong impression in their careers.
Courtney Traeger (Class of 2016) is a finalist for the Websters Lawyers Achievement in Law Award. Now an Aboriginal criminal defence lawyer at Carter & Co, she’s gained recognition for her work supporting vulnerable clients and going beyond the traditional solicitor role to deliver holistic outcomes in the justice system.
Meanwhile, Charlee Watt (Class of 2022) has been named a finalist for the Carclew Creative Achievement Award. The Port Lincoln performer is building a growing reputation as a cabaret artist, writer and producer, with her work showcased at events including Adelaide Fringe and SALT Festival.
The community is being encouraged to back both finalists, with public voting open here until May 25.
