If you’ve ever wished you could start your day with a Zinger instead of a hash brown, your wish is about to come true.

After months of testing the waters, KFC has officially confirmed it’s rolling out its breakfast menu to restaurants right across Australia. The move comes after successful trials at Sydney Airport and selected stores, with fans clearly hungry for a fried chicken brekkie.

Forget the usual bacon and egg roll.

KFC’s breakfast menu is expected to feature the Original Crispy Brekkie Tower, Zinger Brekkie Tower, breakfast wraps, toasties, bacon and egg rolls, plus coffee and iced coffee options. In other words, it’s everything you’d expect from KFC… just before 10am.

Why Now?

KFC says breakfast is one of the biggest untapped opportunities in Australian fast food, with the morning rush making up a huge chunk of spending across the industry. The chain is hoping to tempt tradies, shift workers and anyone who thinks chicken belongs on the breakfast menu.

When Can You Get It?

A nationwide rollout is now underway, although not every restaurant will begin serving breakfast immediately. KFC says participating stores and launch dates will vary, so it won’t be long before you can swap your morning coffee run for a Brekkie Tower instead.
