This morning Brett caught up with Marty Roberts to talk about this years Eyre Peninsula leg of the bi-annual event of Cycle4Sam.

The Sam Roberts Family Fund is dedicated to the memory of Sam Roberts who passed away on April 19, 2005 at the age of 4 years 10 months.

Sam fought a courageous battle with Niemann-Pick Disease Type C, a rare neurological degenerative disease of which there is no cure. There are only 500 known cases of this disease in the world.

The Sam Roberts Family Fund proudly supports the Paediatric Palliative Care Service of the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital. In particular, The Sam Roberts Family Fund supports families in South Australia who have children battling rare diseases.

Mr Roberts said that the fundraising goal for this year’s tour was $60,000 and due to overwhelming support with the generousity of the Eyre Peninsula they've already raised more than this. Now setting their goal to $75,000. If you'd like to donate, please visit their website by clicking or pressing here.
