The Alinytjara Wilurara Landscape Board has secured a significant grant through the Landscape Priorities Fund.
$200,000 will support the Board in hosting next year’s South Australian Aboriginal Ranger Land and Sea Conference.
The second edition of the event is expected to bring together more than 150 Aboriginal Rangers from across the state to share skills, strengthen networks, and advance Indigenous-led land and sea management.
The Board has also received funding for its Water in the Desert project, which helps Anangu communities adapt to dry conditions.
The grant will support efforts to address key environmental challenges, including the control of buffel grass.
