Applications open for SA Power Networks Community Grants

Community groups across the Eyre Peninsula are being encouraged to apply for some cash, through SA Power Networks’ latest Community Grants program.

Up to $5,000 is available for projects that bring people together, in line with this year’s theme of ‘Social Connections’.

A total of $132,000 was shared across 30 projects and organisations in 2025, including four groups across the Eyre Peninsula.

Ceduna Area School upgraded their fire pit so it could be used for annual NAIDOC cook ups, while Lincoln Gardens Primary School used their grant to develop a dedicated bush tucker garden within their Nature Play Garden.

Kirton Point Primary co-designed a culturally significant ‘Our Culture, Our Shirt’ uniform, using a whole school approach and a local First Nations artist, and Thevenard Sports Club put their grant towards transitioning their current lighting system to energy-efficient alternatives.
