A 366 km drive called the ‘No Idea Run’ is coming up this Saturday, 17 February, raising money for two local hospitals.

The drive starts in Wudinna and goes though Darke Peak, Rudall, Lock and Elliston, before finishing in Port Kenny where there will be a band and an auction.

Organiser of the event Roni Skipworth decided she wanted to raise money for Wudinna Hospital and Elliston Hospital when she was hospitalised in Wudinna.

“I’d been wondering how to fundraise for some local charity, Ms Skipworth says.

“I had a visit to the Wudinna Hospital last year for four days, and it came to me then that maybe the hospitals might need a helping hand with some donations.”

The name of the drive stems from her curiosity.

“I’m a questioner, so I always ask questions, and my husband’s always saying, ‘no idea’, and I thought that’s a really quirky little name.”

Participants meet at the Wudinna Hotel at 10:30am on Saturday, and set off at 11:15am.
