Experts concerned about regional prostate cancer stats

This Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, new data shows there’s been a 25 per cent increase in prostate cancer deaths since 2007, prompting calls for greater awareness.

Experts say this is especially important in regional and rural areas, where the mortality rate is 24 per cent higher than urban areas.

Prostate Cancer Foundation CEO, ANNE SAVAGE, says improved education and early detection are key to improving survival rates, especially in our regions.
