An action group investigating the shortage of childcare in Tumby Bay is seeking input from the community.
The group, formed following a public meeting in March, are looking to determine how they can resolve the shortage and are calling on those with young families to complete an online survey.
The difficulties in accessing childcare in the region is well-known, with a 2022 Mitchell Institute report classifying the Eyre Peninsula as a ‘childcare desert’, meaning an area where there are more than three children per childcare place.
The survey follows the District Council of Cleve researching the region’s current and future childcare needs early last month.
