Local leaders gather in nation’s capital

Mayors and leaders from across the Eyre Peninsula were in Canberra this week advocating for important matters in their communities, like GP recruitment and childcare facilities.

Regional Development Australia Eyre Peninsula and the Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association facilitated the delegation of EP councils attending the nation’s capital as part of the Australian Local Government Association National General Assembly.

Leaders from Kimba, Tumby Bay, Lower Eyre, Streaky Bay, Elliston, and Port Lincoln met with Senator Karen Grogan at Parliament House to present the Eyre Peninsula Regional Plan 2023-26.

Senator Grogan says she is committed to continuing to work with EP leaders to deliver the best outcomes for Regional South Australia.
