Precast panels have arrived in Port Lincoln, marking a major step forward in the expansion of Matthew Flinders Home.
Delivered by Badge Construction, the large panels — some as tall as a three-storey building — were transported from Mildura, signalling the next phase of the build is underway.
The project will add 34 new beds, including a family room designed for two, helping meet growing demand for aged care services across the Eyre Peninsula.
CEO Nikki Meredith said the milestone is a visible sign of progress and a boost for local families waiting for care close to home.
Backed by an $18.125 million federal grant, the build is expected to be completed by June 2027, with community support still being encouraged to help bring the project to life.
