Nearly $200,000 is being shared across the Eyre Peninsula, with 19 community projects funded through the Landscape Board’s Grassroots Grants program.
The funding will support a mix of on-ground work, including pest plant control, habitat protection and community workshops.
EP Landscape Board Chair Peter Treloar says strong interest made for a competitive round, with close to 30 applications received.
Projects range from a youth learning camp in the Lower Eyre Peninsula to a native planting initiative in Kimba, where locals will run workshops focused on sustainable food and land care.
Another project will restore the Sheringa Lake campground through revegetation and weed control.
The grants aim to boost hands-on environmental action, with projects set to roll out over the next 12 to 18 months.
