Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community Council secures funding for Women’s Shed

Port Lincoln is set to welcome one of the few Women’s Sheds in the state, thanks to funding from a state government grant.

The Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community Council has secured $20,000 funding for the Kuju Women’s Shed through the State Government’s Community Sheds Round.

The funding from the grant will go towards improving kitchen facilities and safety equipment.

The new space will offer women a space for arts, crafts, healthy cooking, and social connection, promoting wellbeing and cultural engagement.

The organisation is also upgrading the iconic Giant Gulda lizard through a small grant of $950 from the Port Lincoln Council.
