Community safety and local crime will be the focus of a new forum in Port Lincoln this month.
SAPOL will be running a ‘Police and Community – Working Together’ event on 30 June at the Nautilus Arts Centre.
The forum will allow police to share what they have been doing to combat crime, and share their policing issues directly with the local community.
Mayor Diana Mislov said the team will break down the issues in our region.
“A lot of our issues are reflected right across the state, its mostly about resourcing and things like that. They’ll be happy to fill us in on statistics, what’s actually been reported, really have an honest and open conversation with people,” she said.
Community members are encouraged to engage during the session, with a Q&A to be held during the event.
