Member for Flinders, Sam Telfer, has written to Rex Airlines after a number of regional services were cancelled by the airline.
Rex has reportedly cut flights on nine regional routes across the country, including Port Lincoln to Adelaide, Whyalla to Adelaide and Ceduna to Adelaide.
Mr Telfer said the flights are essential for the community of Ceduna, which relies on the airline for a number of services, such as the transport of medical professionals which help the town and wider region.
He says he knows there can be many challenging commercial imperatives in the aviation business, but Rex needs to be mindful of the tremendous social and economic impact its services have on regional communities and work in partnership with the communities to balance those needs.
