The SA Country Fire Service are preparing the region for bushfire season by stationing a Blackhawk helicopter in Port Lincoln.
Member for Flinders Sam Telfer spoke with Chief Officer Brett Louglin at the recent Fire Season Communication Plan Briefing to discuss the steps being taken as the region dries out.
“The season’s are changing and it’s getting close to fire danger season, in fact, in the West Coast it has already been called, and the Eastern Eyre and Lower Eyre will soon be called on schedule, Mr Telfer says.

“All the members of parliament from all around the state had the opportunity to meet with the CFS and touch base and make sure we were saying the same things to our community about the need for preparation.”
