SA has become the first state to sign a Renewable Energy Transformation Agreement.
The inked document will see the state work towards the delivery of enough new renewable energy infrastructure to power every household in Adelaide.
Under the agreement a minimum of 1000 megawatts of new wind and solar projects need to be built, as well as 400 megawatts of new storage, while SA must also commit to delivering its Hydrogen Jobs Plan which is rolling out in Whyalla.
Meantime, our local wind farms including Clements Gap in the Mid-North and Mt Millar on the Eyre Peninsula are making the most of the icy blast that’s hitting the state at the moment.
Up to a third of our power was supplied by wind yesterday – with demand also at record highs.
