The ACCC has given the green light for two of the nations telco’s to share network space, something thought to be a win for regional connectivity.
TPG and Optus had proposed the arrangement some time ago, however due to competition concerns needed a final tick of approval.
The deal is likely to see the fast tracking of the regional 5G rollout, providing greater competition for regional phone users.

The announcement comes as the switch off date for 3G looms, with Telstra and Optus set to flick off the switch on October 28.
