The eastern end of Washington Street in Port Lincoln will remain a two-way street for now…
The local council had suggested converting the section between Porter Street and Eyre Street to one-way, due to safety and accessibility issues with the current layout.
Despite a proposal to address these issues by adding angle parking and improving planting areas, the council has decided against the one-way conversion after receiving mixed feedback from local businesses and residents.
The change may be revisited after traffic patterns are assessed, following the installation of new traffic lights at the Porter Street and Liverpool Street intersection next year.
