Eleven new trees on Bradford Street in Whyalla have been vandalised.
The Whyalla City Council has reported the damage bill at around $16,500.
Council is calling for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

The community is being reassured the trees will be replanted in the near future.
