A Whyalla vet has unveiled the region’s first fast electric vehicle (EV) charging station, aiming to raise awareness about the harmful effects of petrol fumes on pets.
The RAA is currently in the process of deploying 140 EV charging stations throughout the state.
However, veterinarian Andrew Melville-Smith decided to install his own charging station at Whyalla Vet Clinic due to the slow pace of the rollout.

The RAA’s program director for the EV charging network Andrew Howard sees zero-emission transport – particularly lithium battery electric vehicles – as the future of transportation.
