A woman has been arrested, after a man’s body was found inside a house in Port Lincoln.
Police and emergency services were called to the property on the Flinders Highway at about 3.30pm on Thursday 19 June, following reports of a small fire.
It is alleged that upon entering the property, the man’s body was located inside the home.
A 34-year-old Port Lincoln woman has been arrested and is expected to be charged with the man’s murder.
It is understood this was not a random attack, as the man and woman are known to each other.
Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch and Forensic Response Section officers have flown into the region and are assisting local police with the investigation.
