Yumbah Aquaculture has taken out a new award in the latest Sustainable Seafood Awards.
The company, which operates an abalone nursery in Port Lincoln. won the ASC Above and Beyond Award, celebrating the work the company undertakes to go above the standards of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.
Yumbah was also highly commended in the Best Responsible Producer Award, and Propagation Manager, Caleb Trenbeth, was also commended for his work supplying the Lincoln farm with abalone in the Young Person in Aquaculture Award.
In a statement, CEO of Yumbah, David Wood, said the company understands responsible farming is fundamental to a sustainable future and to earning the trust of their customers and communities.
