
The CFS has declared today a total fire band day across the Lower Eyre Peninsula and Eastern Eyre Peninsula.
Low-intensity heatwave conditions have been forecasted by the Bureau of Meteorology with temperatures expected to rise into the low to high 30's and some areas on the Eastern Eyre Peninsula reaching above 40 degrees.
Today’s fire danger rating has also been declared as severe despite expected rainfall.
Locals are encouraged to stay vigilant and prepared.
