It looks as though love will not only be in the air this Valentines' day but also on the Port Lincoln foreshore.

Following an abundance of positive feedback from the community on the HOPE and JOY signs at the town jetty, the Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Tourism have been working to deliver the surprise gift of LOVE for the city centre.

The chamber and in collaboration with a special group of people have worked tireless hours to bring LOVE to the Port Lincoln community with the sign to be in place along side hope and joy today.

The project has seen a lot of support from local businesses and organisations that helped not only build the sign but also fund its costs.  

Jack Ritchie, Chamber Chairperson says “LOVE is a message to all in our community for being so extraordinary, and while it provides another attraction for the city, it is very much about the enjoyment and usage by residents on Valentine’s day and beyond.”

"Largely in response to the calls from the community who've said it would be great to have LOVE during February, it's also a message about appreciation really for the community and businesses particularly who over the last 12 months taken on incredible measures to actually adapt and innovate." said Jack.
