According to the Australian Energy Market Operator’s (AEMO) latest Virtual Power Plant Knowledge Sharing Report, has revealed that home solar and battery storage systems helped keep the lights on across the state during a period of minimum demand in October of last year.

 

In a release AEMO said that consumer solar and batteries added roughly 5MW to operational demand during on October 11th, reducing the severity of the event and helping to ensure overall grid stability.
