Eyre Peninsula hospitals will be involved in the distribution of the COVID19 vaccinations to help ensure all South Australians have access to better health in the fight against the disease.
Established vaccination hubs will include one here on the Eyre Peninsula in Whyalla alongside several others spread out across regional South Australia with two expected to open up as early as next week in Adelaide.
Minister for Health and Wellbeing Stephen Wade said South Australia’s COVID-19 vaccination program will be implemented in stages – in line with the Commonwealth Government’s supply schedule and priority groups.
SA Health clinics will provide respectively more vaccines to country clinics in the early stages of the rollout.
The full program will take several months to roll out in line with the Commonwealth Government.
The vaccination of the general population is expected to begin from mid-2021.
