There are calls to fund mental health services across the Eyre Peninsula to better-enable them to work with the families of young people experiencing mental ill-health.

It comes as a report by Orygen reveals many families can feel excluded when a loved one needs to access a mental health service.

However, Carsten Schley from headspace says young people can greatly benefit by including family members in their treatment, particularly where services are limited.
