Monday will see a new era for the Grant Broadcasters network as 765-5CC will officially launch its FM signal.

The Eyre Peninsula AM-based station will switch on its FM signal as of 8:10 am on Monday morning, allowing listeners to tune into the station on both the AM and FM frequencies.

5CC will be among 5 South Australian stations within the Grant Broadcaster’s network to switch to FM after more than 3 years of planning for the switch.

Other stations to also switch include Spencer Gulf’s -5AU & 5CS, Murray Bridge 5MU. Berri - 5RM.

The new FM frequency 93.9 will give listeners and locals on the Lower Eyre Peninsula a much clearer stereo sound with future plans for 5cc FM signal to be extended to the Eastern Eyre Peninsula.

Grant Broadcasters CEO, Alison Cameron, says, “We are thrilled to finally launch these FM signals for our brands across South Australia after years of planning and execution.

"It will be fantastic for the audience to hear our stations in crystal clear FM quality.

“This coupled with our increasing focus on live and local programming is great news for our audiences and advertisers.”

“We’re just super excited that 5cc is finally converting to 93.9FM, it’s been years and years in the planning, lengthy regulatory hurdles we had to jump through, get all the engineering aspects and of course ordering and installing all of the equipment.

“So we’re really excited to have invested further into the Eyre Peninsula.

“And of course 5CC will remain on the AM band moving into the future for those areas the FM frequency can’t cover." said Alison.
