Calls for Action on Violence Against Whyalla Nurses

New stats have revealed that violence against nurses at the Whyalla Hospital has reached alarming scopes with a staggering 22 assaults reported in just over a month this year.

In light of this, the Whyalla Hospital has deployed additional nurses and restraint trained staff in the ward of primary concern in hopes to reduce violent attacks. However, restraint-trained staff were then removed from the Emergency Department.

This has sparked an urgent call for action by the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation's SA Branch, encouraging members to notify their officer.
