Privacy Awareness Week

PAW

Local workers and businesses are being urged to make privacy a priority following the release of concerning new figures for National Privacy Awareness Week (3-9 May).

It found 1 in 5 Australian workers have experienced a privacy incident in the past twelve months. Concerningly, many of those workers (19%) didn't report it to their employer.

Garrett O'Hara from security firm, Mimecast, says common incidents include emailing the wrong recipient, or clicking malicious emails which allowed access to work systems.
