The Marshall Liberal Government has announced an Alliance approach to homelessness that will see homelessness and Domestic Violence services delivered right across the state including regional areas.

Existing regional providers have agreed to come together, recognising the need to work towards better, long-term outcomes for our most vulnerable.

Among the local alliances West Coast Youth and Community Support, Centacare SA Catholic Family Services, Centacare Catholic Country SA and the Salvation Army will be servicing the Eyre Peninsula.

West Coast Youth and Community Support CEO Jo Clark says homelessness is everyone's business and they are excited to work alongside other local organisations to tackle homelessness here on the Eyre Peninsula.

“As part of the reform is to partner up with four other agencies because, homelessness is absolutely everybody’s business, so be able to have formed joint response across a region with existing country service providers for country people can only have positive impacts.

“Local country people know what local country people need so if we can continue to advocate across all programs, that would be really great moving forward.” Said Jo.
