Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Whyalla service station in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Just before 2.30am on Thursday 13 May, police were called to a service station on McRitchie Crescent after a hold up alarm was activated by a staff member.
A man approached the night window armed with a knife and demanded cash from the operator. The man left empty-handed after the alarm was raised and was last seen on foot on Head Street.
The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, brown short hair and of medium build. He was wearing a grey ‘Levi’ branded hoodie with the hood up, long blue pants, dark shoes and red face mask.
Police have located the hoody and face mask on Head Street.
