A new Ag Tech start up hub will open on the Eyre Peninsula, as part of the State Government’s 7.6 million dollar AgTech program.
Ag Tech includes sensors, farm management software, smart farm equipment, genomics and imagery.
Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, David Basham, said in a statement the increase in people adopting ag tech in SA could lead to an extra 2.6 billion dollar value in agricultural production each year.
The Minnipa Agricultural Centre and Farm will be utilised for the regions start up hub, with a focus on the development of Ag Tech that will support systems in sheep production and broad acre cropping.
