Project Funding Helps Drought Affected Communities

Thousands of dollars will go towards community initiatives on the Eyre Peninsula as part of the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal’s Tackling Tough Times Together program.


This round of the program will give over 1.3 million dollars to 38 projects, helping communities across Australia tackle the ongoing impact of drought.

Over $25,000 will go to the Foodbank Ceduna Food Hub for their cool room project, aiming to increase capacity and capability of Foodbank to provide food relief for the town and surrounding communities.

Another $17,000 will go to the community of Yatanabie, 53 kilometres north east of Streaky Bay, for restoration of the town hall roof, to improve volunteer viality and support strong social connection.
