Telfer Pays Tribute to Predecessor in Maiden Speech

Newly elected Member for Flinders, Sam Telfer, has paid tribute to his predecessor in his maiden speech to parliament.

Taking the seat from outgoing member Peter Treloar, Mr Telfer was elected at the March 19th state election, despite a significant swing against him by now independent candidate for Grey, Liz Habermann.

Mr Telfer said Peter served the electorate with passion, enthusiasm and conviction for the past 12 years and has been a good friend and mentor to him.

In his speech, Mr Telfer said all three levels of government need to be working together to get sustainable medical service solutions and the level of investment into South Australian roads needs to continue.
