Gun Owner Reported After Firearms Stolen

Port Lincoln Police have reported a gun owner after firearms were stolen from a business in the city.

Sometime between 1pm on Sunday and 7:30am yesterday, thieves smashed the front glass panel of the Liverpool Street business and stole an air rifle and two gel blasters that were not properly secured.

A 56 year old local man was reported for failing to correctly secure firearms and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.

Police are reminding the community that it's an offence to fail to securely store firearms and to possess a firearm without a licence, including gel blasters.
