A full program of events will be held during NAIDOC Week in Port Lincoln this July.
The official NAIDOC march down Tasman Terrace will be coordinated by the Department for Child Protection on Monday July 4th from 10:30am, followed by the official opening of the Nautilus Arts Centre's First Nation artist exhibition 'Through the Generations' at 12:30pm.
A Wombat Pit cookout, kids disco and youth ball will occur later during the week, with the official NAIDOC Ball held at Mallee Park Football Club on Saturday July 9th.
City of Port Lincoln Mayor, Brad Flaherty, said in a statement this years theme of 'Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!' is emphasising the need to maintain momentum in the great work being done to support reconciliation.
Mr Flaherty says he's inviting the wider community into their reconciliation journey.
