Port Lincoln Council To Host Cruise Ship Information Session

Cruise Ship Port Lincoln

The City of Port Lincoln invites tourism operators and local businesses to attend an information session on the upcoming cruise ship season.

The information session is a joint initiative between Council, Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre and the South Australian Tourism Commission.

The purpose of the information session is to create awareness of arrival dates and associated events and initiatives, and connect local businesses to the Cruise Ship Welcome Program.

City of Port Lincoln Mayor Bruce Green said that “The increase from five cruise ships in 2016/2017 to nine last season and thirteen confirmed visits for the coming season, is a testament of the stellar welcome program co-ordinated by the City of Port Lincoln”.

“Working together with tourism operators and our local business community and continuing to improve the offerings available to cruise ship passengers” said Mayor Green.

This will ensure repeat and additional cruise ship visits to our city and generate more local spending, create great visitor memories and recommendations of our city, and increase community confidence that our ‘Seafood Capital of Australia’ is high on visitors’ lists of places to experience”.

The information session is being held on Thursday November 1st at the Nautilus Arts Centre Media Room from 5.30pm.
