A three-day police search of an area west of Kimba for missing Adelaide man Scott Redman has ended with nothing significant located.

There have been no sightings of Mr Redman, 19, since April and investigators have not been able to find any indication that he is still alive.

His disappearance has been declared a Major Crime.

This week about 35 searchers, including eight officers from the Mounted Operations Unit, searched a 12sqkm area where investigators believe Mr Redman and his associate were during the 24 hours after they abandoned the SUV they were travelling in.

Police spokesperson Detective Superintendent Des Bray said that Police have advised Mr Redman’s family we are treating this matter as a murder.

Anyone with information regarding Mr Redman’s disappearance is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline on 1800 333 000.
