Two Port Lincoln-based tuna boats are responding to a boat in distress off Kangaroo Island to help the Gretta vessel who has taken on water.
The distressed boat located Southwest of KI Sanders Bank signaled a call on VMR Channel 21 just before 1 pm today.
Reports say the boat was taking on water and the engine room is flooding, however, is no longer in danger at this point.
The Delamer and Maria Louisa are taking on rough seas to assist the situation, with 3- 5 m seas creating an obstacle for the mission.
The vessel is still broken down and waiting for assistance. Updates to come.
UPDATE: Vessel has been attended to, no one has been injured or in danger.
