This week is Sustainable Seafood Week which celebrates the certified fisheries, retailers, chefs and restaurants around Australia that aims to ensure Australia has sustainable seafood for generations to come.
Sustainable seafood means keeping sustainable fish stocks, minimising environmental impact and effective fisheries management.
Eyre Peninsula residents are encouraged to join the movement ‘Sea the Future’ by enjoying seafood that is farmed responsibly and certified sustainable seafood.
Locals can join the movement on social media by posting a photo of yourself looking out across the water, captioning it with how you wish to sea the future and use the hashtag #Seathefuture
