Port Lincoln Drink and Drug Drivers Caught

Port Lincoln Police have detected a drink driver and three drivers with methamphetamine in their system in the past week. 

 Just before 2.30am on Saturday 12 May, a 37-year-old Port Lincoln man tested positive to methamphetamine when pulled over on Mortlock Terrace, Port Lincoln.  

Just before midnight on Monday 14 May, a 38-year-old Port Lincoln man tested positive to methamphetamine during a random driver test on Barley Road, Port Lincoln. 

About 1.45am on Thursday 16 May, a 57-year-old Port Lincoln woman tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis when she was stopped in Liverpool Street, Port Lincoln. 

About 6.30pm on Thursday 16 May, police stopped a 36-year-old Port Lincoln man in Shepherd Place, Port Lincoln for a mobile driver test.  

He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.108 and was reported for drink driving and issued with a six-month loss of licence.  

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. his vehicle was also impounded for 28 days.
