The Marshall Government is delivering a record $1.115 billion for regional road projects and infrastructure upgrades across the state including a $32 million to upgrade Eyre Peninsula Roads following the rail line closure.

The funding is the single biggest injection of new funding in a State Budget for regional roads in South Australia’s history.

Premier Marshall said that the road toll this year is unacceptably high, and that improving the condition of our regional roads is one element of a broader response to slashing this figure.

Premier Marshall said “This senseless loss of life on our roads simply has to stop,” said Premier Marshall.

“The State Liberal Government is injecting in excess of one billion dollars into regional road projects and infrastructure upgrades which is part of our commitment to improve road safety, as well as help build regional communities and create jobs.
