Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour Comes to Streaky for Sculpture Fundraiser

The Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour will be coming to Streaky Bay next month bringing the iconic local jockey Kerrin McEvoy back to his home town as an ambassador for the cup for a fundraiser dinner.

The night will be raising money to help fund the streaky Bay Kerrin McEvoy sculpture project that will cost up to $120,000.

Event organiser Samantha Kirby says this will be one of the many events they will be having, that will be raising money for the town's sculpture.

Special guest chef Tony Ford from Boston Bay wines will be providing signature dishes over the night with an influence on the three-course menu for guests to enjoy, along with SA beer and wine.

Locals are invited to attend a premium event on the 5th August at the Streaky Bay Hotel, celebrating and honouring Streaky Bays greatest Sportsperson Kerrin McEvoy.

Streaky Bay will be 1 of 39 destinations globally in the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour with Ceduna, and Adelaide also on the itinerary.
